Kansas Beats the Virus
December 4, 2020
Alternate text

The Climate + Energy Project is partnering with the Kansas Leadership Center (KLC) to help Kansas Beat the Virus. Watch this video or read the overview to learn more!KLC has an ambitious goal to catalyze more than 1,000 small group meetings before the end of the year. These small groups will dramatically increase the number of locally generated efforts to reduce the spread of this deadly virus.

We would like to invite you to consider convening of one or more small group conversations online with 8-15 from your network. CEP staff will facilitate your meeting. You bring the people! Each group will discuss innovative, custom solutions that could be used to encourage your network to help Beat the Virus. For example – your church creates a delivery network to handle shopping for elderly and at-risk members. Neighbors create a safe, outdoor space in your front yard with heaters for teens to safely socialize. These are just a couple of ideas!

CEP will provide a $100 stipend for each meeting you host by December 22nd. There are also mini-grants (up to $3,000) available to fund your local actions to help stop the spread. Group discussions will take place between December 5th-December 22nd from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Fill out this form to reserve your meeting spot today! CEP will provide all the meeting tools and create the Zoom registration link for you to send to your participants.
